The PGAC’s events and gatherings are the heart and soul of the organization. Our signature event is the Steel City Oktoberfest, a family-friendly celebration with authentic German food, drink, entertainment, and clothing. You can come as you are, or go all out and compete in our Best Lederhosen and Best Dirndl contests. Of course, the night isn’t complete without live music and a chicken dance competition.
Enjoy authentic German food, music, and Bier at the Steel City Oktoberfest at the Pueblo Union Depot.
Another annual staple is Fasching, a Karneval event that kicks off the lenten season. We encourage you to go all out with masks, painted faces, and festive costumes. Because this event tends to get a little raucous, we limit it to guests aged 21 and older.
Throughout the year we have several recurring Stammtisch gatherings. These are German speaking dinners or happy hours that will allow you to hone your German skills, enjoy a beer, and engage with fellow German enthusiasts.
